On Monday, October 4th at 6:00 a.m., Paul will be interviewed at the Univision network studios in Houston, TX featuring up and coming successful Latino Artists from the Houston area. Part of the discussion with be Paul's involvement with the Houston Bayou City Arts Festival. Univision will also film Paul drawing a sports figure and will most likely air that on a time-lapsed recording. |

On Friday, May 7 through Sunday May 9, 2010, Paul will be showcasing his Fine Art Pencil Illustrations at the City Arts Dallas 2010 Art Festival. This Art Festival will take place at "Fair Park" off of R. L. Thornton Freeway and I-45 in Dallas, TX. Hope to see you all there.

Paul has been asked by another local Houston Artist to participate in the painting of a mural that spans 120' wide x approximately 20' high. The Houston based Artist was commissioned by Dr Pepper to paint this mural across the street from the home of the Houston Astros, "Minute Maid Park". The projected completion date for this project is the end of June, 2009. This mural is located on the corner of Hamilton and Texas in downtown Houston. |

Recently, Paul entered another Illustration competition open to residents across the United States. The competition was held by "Artistgrants.org". Paul entered 2 separate competitions. One was titled "Spring 2009 Competition" and the other "Biennial Competition".
Paul was just notified that 2 of the images he submitted were selected as winners for the "Spring 2009 Competition". As honorable recognition winners, selected Artists will receive one full year of online gallery representation from one of Artistgrants.org's partner sites, free of charge. In addition, the selected Artists will also qualify to exhibit their work in one of the exhibitions that Artistgrants.org will sponsor in 2010, in the Columbus and Cinicnnati Ohio areas.

The Simply Artistic website will have a new feature starting in June 2009. A "Video" link will be added to the main menu. Paul's interview with ABC News in Houston will appear in this link. There will also be upcoming videos capturing the airbrushing of murals from start to finish, in a time-lapsed fast-forward mode. |

Paul was recently contacted by Channel 13 ABC News in Houston Texas. News Anchor Katie McCall contacted Paul to ask if he would be interested in an interview in which he and his artwork would be showcased. The segment would specifically cover individuals in the Houston area who have been successful in finding ways to supplement their income despite the economic situation. Paul accepted the invitation and was interviewed on Thursday, May 21st, 2009. The interview aired on Tuesday, May 26 at both 4:00pm and 6:00pm, as well as on Sunday, May 31st. Paul recently submitted various African Wildlife Illustrations into a nationally juried contest in which selected image(s) would be published in an internationally distributed publication. Paul received notification in early April that one or more of the images he submitted will appear in the July/August 2009 issue of Communication Arts Magazine. Along with the publishing of his illustrations, Communication Arts will also publish a directory with all Artists' contact information.
